Keep that Factory Finish with Paint Protection Film

Paint Protection Film, or PPF, is your secret weapon in the fight against scratches, dings, and environmental damage to your vehicle’s pristine finish.

PPF is a transparent, thermoplastic urethane film that is applied to the painted surfaces of your vehicle to provide an effective, durable layer of protection between your paint and every day wear and tear.

Paint Protection Film FAQs

Yes. One of PPF’s biggest attractions is the fact that it can be removed without damaging the vehicle’s underlying finish. Removal should be completed by a professional, however, to ensure the best results.

High quality paint protection film will protect your vehicle from light hail, similar to the way it protects against small rocks and debris kicked up by passing vehicles.

We’re glad you asked. Some paint protection films, such as the Guardian PPF installed by WrapWorks, offer a “self-healing” feature. Minor scratches and swirl marks disappear with exposure to heat or sunlight, so your vehicle’s finish AND your PPF both last longer.

Short answer: no. Older PPFs could yellow over time, as environmental contaminants seeped in and with prolonged exposure to the sun. Modern PPFs, like those installed by WrapWorks, do not turn yellow. Our paint protection film is made from thermoplastic polyurethane, which is UV resistant, and prevents discoloring.
